When you drive about 15 km further alongside the scenic R44 ocean drive you will reach the town of Kleinmond. Kleinmond lies at a small lagoon on the narrow coastal belt between fynbos-covered mountains and the Atlantic sea and forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve.

Harold Porter Nature Reserve:
This beautiful botanical garden is located in the heart of the Cape Fynbos region. It covers a floral diversity per unit area that is larger than anywhere else in the world and includes1600 plant species. Ten hectares of cultivated gardens and 190.5 hectares of pristine natural fynbos are on show.
Kogelberg Biosphere Nature Reserve
This 3,000-hectare nature reserve protects a significant portion of the Kogelberg Sandstone Fynbos. This includes species of Erica and a wide range of Protea species. Biosphere Nature Reserve offers day hiking trails and one overnight trail. Permits are necessary for hiking.

Get some exercise on the fairways of this unique 10-hole golf course and enjoy viewing some wildlife and natural Cape flora. From July - October you could also be watching the whales playing in the bay area whilst golfing.
Beach and Harbour
Visit this very popular Blue Flag beach with your family and just relax or take a tour through the harbour. Leisure around the many restaurants and other shops located in the area and enjoy the coastal vibe.
Overstrand Equestrian Centre
Enjoy a fun horse ride along the Kleinmond coast at this equestrian centre that offers out rides, beach rides, day rides, and monthly social rides. You may even spot the legendary Kleinmond wild horses along the coast if you're lucky.
